Founded in 1960, ORTV is headquartered in Taipei and has offices in key cities in Asia, Europe, and North America.
We use many methods to accomplish our mission. We host live events to reach our audience directly. Our musicians compose and perform original music. In addition, we connect with students of all ages through our popular English-teaching magazines and accompanying TV and radio programs.
"Studio Classroom" was founded in 1962. Later, it developed into three English teaching magazines: "Let's Talk in English", "Studio Classroom" and "Advanced". It has helped countless students improve their English proficiency, expand their international horizons, and also establish beautiful values. The teaching methods keep pace with the times, integrating radio, television, Internet, and multimedia channels to provide students with the best personalized learning environment. The magazine and peripheral products have been recognized by numerous domestic and international awards.
The Heavenly Melody Choir was founded in 1963 and began composing Christian songs in 1979. Their representative work, “The Flowers of the Field,” remains a beloved hymn among Chinese communities worldwide. Heavenly Melody has released numerous original albums, as well as recordings in English and other languages. Their ministry has reached Taiwan and many parts of the world, sharing the gospel of Christ through music and the life stories of the choir members.
Youth Rally, a youth music party, started in 1966. Foreign teachers have established beautiful friendships with readers and influenced many young lives. In 1995, Tianyun began to enter schools with the "Live the Color of Life" series of songs; in 2005, the "Kongying" team conducted about 100 campus tours every year to encourage young students to learn English well and be the best version of themselves. During the Christmas season every year, Christmas parties in major cities in Taiwan are an annual event for the mission. Tens of thousands of people enter the venue to share love, peace and joy.
